Bill Information

  • AB 2680 (Arambula)

This bill removes barriers for re-enrollment in the Deaf and Disabled Telecommunications Program (DDTP), which provides someone with a qualifying disability with an assistive communications device and a training on how to use the device.

  • SB 1098 (Perez)

Reins in utility spending by limiting the use of balancing and memorandum accounts, so more of the utilities’ spending gets rolled into the General Rate Case, so the Commission has a fuller picture of proposed spending when they determine what is “just and reasonable.”

  • AB 1715 (Schiavo)

Resurrection of AB 1020, increases utility transparency by requiring they report to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) all public loans or grants received, what project the money is intended for, and flag for the Commission where the public funding is supplanting requests for ratepayer dollars.

  • AB 2338 (Ransom)

Requires utilities to submit an inflation-constrained application in the General Rate Case, so the burden falls on the utilities to justify every additional dollar of spending.
