Ruthie Lazenby

Staff Attorney

Ruthie Lazenby joined TURN as an Energy Attorney in July 2025 and is based in Los Angeles. She advocates on behalf of consumers at the California Public Utilities Commission for affordable, equitable, and clean utility service.

 Before joining TURN, Ruthie worked at UCLA Law School’s Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, focusing on decarbonizing the energy sector. She brings experience across a range of climate justice and economic justice issues, including as a staff attorney at Vermont Law School’s Environmental Justice Clinic and a legal fellow at New York Lawyers for the Public Interest.

 Ruthie received her J.D. from Yale Law School and her B.A. from Wesleyan University.
