Kori Cordero (they/them/theirs) serves as the managing attorney for TURN’s telecom team and has worked across tribal, telecom,  environmental, and restorative justice practice areas.  Their telecom law and policy experience stems from their work on behalf of tribes, a tribal government WISP, and a tribal telecoms company in California. 

Prior to joining TURN, Mx. Cordero served as a non-profit attorney providing training and technical assistance to a variety of courts, programs, and justice systems, as the Deputy General Counsel for a tribal government, and outside counsel to a variety of tribal governments and their wholly-owned entities. Mx. Cordero also served as the Senior Tribal Advisor for the U.S. EPA Region 9, where they provided advice to the Regional Administrator and senior EPA leadership.

Mx. Cordero received their J.D. from the UCLA School of Law with two specializations in Critical Race Studies and Public Interest Law and Policy. Mx. Cordero currently serves on the board of the National Native American Bar Association and has held a myriad of leadership positions within the American Bar Association and National Native American Bar Association.
