Rate Payer Savings — Find out if you qualify!
Did you know…
Two powerful ratepayer assistance programs are available to help customers get the utility support they need—but very few people know about them, so they are underutilized. Learn more below!
Medical Baseline supports those who depend on power for certain medical needs, whether that is physical equipment or environmental controls. Medical Baseline is not based on income; qualifications are based solely on medical need.
FERA (Family Electric Rate Assistance Program) has removed the barrier condition requiring a minimum number of residents in a household. The FERA program is now available to 1 and 2 member households.
To learn if you qualify and to apply for these programs, find your utility provider below and follow the link beside the logo.

Medical Baseline
Medical Baseline provides an additional monthly allotment of energy at the lowest price on your current rate and provides more alerts prior to a Safety Power Shutoff. There are no income eligibility requirements; the program is based solely on medical need. You will need a doctor's verification, but no check-up or examination.
Family Electric Rate Assistance Program (FERA)
The FERA Program offers an 18% discount on electricity bills to qualified households. Enrollment in FERA automatically qualifies you for the CARE (California Alternate Rates for Energy) program.
