What is ACP?

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a U.S. government program run by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices like a laptop or tablet.

You are likely eligible if your household’s income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line, or if you or someone you live with currently receives a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-Price Lunch.

What is AMP?

The FERA program offers monthly discount on electricity bills to qualified households of 3 or more persons whose households income is more than 200% and up to 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidlines.

If customers do not quality for CARE, they may still qualify for FERA.

Discount: 18% on electricity bills.

What is CARE?

The CARE program offers monthly discount on electricity and natural gas bills for qualifying households that falls below 20% of the federal poverty line.

If customers do not quality for CARE, they may still qualify for FERA.

Discount: 30-35% on electricity and 20% on natural gas bills.

What is FERA?

The FERA program offers monthly discount on electricity bills to qualified households of 3 or more persons whose households income is more than 200% and up to 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidlines.

What is California LifeLine?

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides assistance to eligible low-income households with the goal of managing and meeting their immediate home heating and/or cooling needs.

Discount: 30-35% on electricity and 20% on natural gas bills.

What is LIHEAP?

Assistance program for customers who depend on power for certain medical and independent living needs. Also known as Medial Baseline Allowance.

The program includes two kinds of assistance:

  • Extra discounts to monthly electricity bill
  • Extra notifications in advance or a Public Safety Power Shutoff
  • Extra protection against Public Safety Power Shutoff when customers fall behind on payments.

Medical Baseline discounts are in addition to CARE and FERA discounts that low-income households may receive.

What is Medical Baseline?
