Kendra Noel Lewis has been a professional fundraiser, nonprofit administrator and consultant since 1996. She previously worked for the Sacramento Urban League, the American Heart Association, Sacramento State University, and the Sacramento Theatre Company. Kendra is also the past vice-president of the Sacramento YWCA and co-chair of the Girls Who Code Parent Advisory Committee fundraiser. She has received awards from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and the Business Women’s Network.
As TURN’s development director, Kendra will be spearheading key aspects of TURN’s fundraising, including special events, planned giving, grant writing and donor relations. Kendra holds a BA in History from California State University, Fresno. She received a Certificate of Development from the University of San Francisco’s Nonprofit Management Program.
“I’m delighted to be joining an organization like TURN, which has a strong, loyal and involved donor base and am looking forward to getting to know our members”, she said. “I’ll be working closely with the rest of the TURN team to find new ways to support our work, and to make our goals of affordable, clean energy and strong consumer protections a reality for all Californians.”
